Masquerade

It's twelve o'clock in the midnight,
Seems that everything feels not right.
I reach for something to catch some light,
Then my nothing but empty room turns bright.

I saw myself starring at the ceiling,
There's nothing but just old white plain thing.
"Just like myself", as I thought,
"Just idle spaces between these walls."

I can't explain why tears kept flowing,
I saw myself find it hard to stop sobbing.
I'm longing and waiting for the dawn to come,
So I can wipe these tears away somehow.

As I see the sun starting to unblind,
I stood up from my bed and forged a smile.
Another day of false happiness I brought to life,
Another sword of loneliness stabbed in my heart.

This poem was given to me by my lovable friend. It pictures the real sadness of a heart which is in her. From the poem one will figure the feeling of the author as she writes it so heartfelt.

Death-Stalker Scorpion

Found in North Africa and the Middle East, its name says it all. Although its stinger is not particularly large or strong, a sting from this, the most toxic scorpion in the world, causes unbearable pain, fever, coma, convulsions, paralysis and death.

So be careful and warn your self whenever you may see this creature. Remember the poison it had. Actually scorpions are really scary and it is good to be well-informed to their characteristic.

Toxic Terror!

Sharp claws and teeth are not the only weapons animals possess. Many creatures use poisons to attack prey or depend themselves. Some poisonous animals store toxins in their glands and inject them into their victims. Other animals produce poisons in their skin. Here is one of them:

Poison arrow frog. Next time you're in the rain forest of Central or South America and you spy this little amphibian, don't pick it up: its skin contains a toxic chemical that sickens or kills any animal that touches or eats it. Two micrograms of its toxin (barely enough to fit on the head of pin) will kill a large mammal - or even a person.

Imagine the terror of this kind of frog's poison, its color is attractive yet behind its look, this amphibian can end a life.

The Tree
by: Karla Agarem

One moment, I reflect to life,
It told me, choosing is only between left and right.
For how you choose always matter to the rule,
But what you choose matters to you by whole.

Two questions arise as to die or live your life,
The fruit of the answer maybe raw or ripe.
Move, take the step towards goals without rage.
Act well your part on and behind the stage.

Tree not three, is the symbol of life,
For three may count only up to three even you wipe.
For tree's leaves may count infinitely,
And for a tree's life may last in numbers untold by many.

My first poem to be published on my blog. "Hope is constant in life, you just ignore it at times."

This is one of famous Filipino desserts called "halo-halo" A mixture of fruits, beans, leche plan, evaporated milk, sugar and shaved ice. It is mostly eaten during summertime when the heat is unbearable. You can even put ice cream on top of it if you don't like leche plan or put both. It is your choice.

Do you believe in Angels?

Everyday "I see" angels. I encounter them, and I know they are angels...because I believe they exists.

Today, as I went to the terminal to go to school, on my way, I see an angel, a very beautiful baby in disguise. The baby looked at me, so very innocent and suddenly a different feeling burst on me. I feel so light, worry-free and lucky at that moment. And that for me, is an "angel" that designated to meet and greet me "for this day".The angel or cherub is a heavenly being, and they are superior to humans. They are said to be the one who serves as an attendant and messenger of God, or a guardian for someone on Earth.

The study of angels is called Angelology. In 1978, over half the people in the U.S. who were asked, said they believed in angels. Angels are drawn on greeting cards, painted on ceilings and mentioned in one of every top ten songs. Angelfood cake, the California Angels baseball team, and the city of Los Angeles (Spanish for “city of angels” ) all show our fondness for and fascination with angels. Whether you are an “angelologist” or not, you'll want to know all about angels.

Unnoticeable maybe you also encounter angels everyday... not winged, not with halos, not bright or glowing, but yet unusual and mysterious, they just come to you, when you least expect them!

Since I am still at school trying to maintain my grades so I can keep my scholarship, I can't help but think at the same time how I could be of help with my parents lessen the burden of supporting four kids which by the way two of them are in college. I can see how hard for them especially that the economy is down and price of gas and everything is going up. Then one day, while I was talking with my Aunt over internet, she mentioned to me about blogs and blogging. She said that I could get paid to blog. At first I was confused but as she patiently explained it to me, I begun to understand how blogging helped her gain more friends while earning money at the same time. After thinking about it, I decided that I should give it a try.

So, I made an account and created my own blog with little help from my Aunt. After few months of blogging, I started to enjoy it and at the same time met friends. After visiting people's blog, I noticed that most of them incorporates blog advertising on their blogs. As I do some research about blog advertising, I realized that this is a good way to promote services, company's products and other stuffs. As we all know most people nowadays look online for products where they could get great deals of about everything you need. This is the way advertisers and bloggers help each other. If you think this is the one thing you like to do which is talking about the things you enjoy and love, then why not join Paying Post. I did sign up and is now enjoying the opportunity of earning money while making lots of friends from around the globe.

Dream Tour

In life, exploring and learning is inseparable. It is basic that people will learn from different experiences with things, places and people.

Aside from these, appreciation from what you've gained and will be gaining is essential, greatly to know that "something" is important.

One of my dream is to take a world tour! Especially in my own country first... and then, to other countries. One of these countries is France. And more specifically is to see the richness of the great museum of Louvre. One of the reason is that I love art and history so much...and to go to a museum like this is a dream come true if the opportunity will be given to me. Try to visit and explore the museum website, its an online tour and yet you will feel being there in real!
